This painting was commissioned to portray the client’s two Icelandic horses, captured in motion and running directly toward the viewer. The client had a clear vision for this work: a horizontal format, the horses shown from the front and cropped at chest height for a bold and focused composition. Unlike many of my other works, this piece contains no added landscape or symbolic elements—the client felt that “the horses shine enough on their own.”
The painting is dominated by warm, earthy tones, with soft beige and brown hues in the background. Painted in acrylic on canvas, it emphasizes the individuality and strength of the animals while maintaining a calm, minimalistic atmosphere.
